HyperCitizen aims to enhance citizen science in biodiversity research by developing a mobile application for bird monitoring. It will utilize advanced computational methods to improve data quality and engage the public in scientific research, bridging the gap between citizen and professional science.
Citizen science has become an integral part of biodiversity research with enormous potential for both improving biodiversity monitoring and involving citizens in scientific projects.
However, the full integration of data generated with citizen science in professional research programs has not been fully reached.
