The HYPE project focuses on developing an integrated process for converting lignocellulosic feedstocks into bioethanol. It aims to enhance hydrolysis and fermentation efficiency, utilizing advanced enzymes and a continuous bioprocessing reactor to improve yield and reduce processing time.
Lignocellulosic bioethanol has the potential of contributing to a sustainable and secure European energy supply for the transport sector.
