This project investigates the use of composite materials in aircraft design, focusing on hybrid configurations that integrate damping materials within carbon fiber reinforced polymer laminates. The goal is to enhance structural performance and reduce weight.
The use of composites materials for aircraft design allows integrating other differentmaterials with non-structural functions thanks to the layered structure.
This layeredstructure offers the opportunity to embed damping interleaves in the CFRP laminate toimprove the vibroacoustic damping behavior of the structure.
These multifunctionalstructures will result in hybrid configurations which combine traditional CFRP laminate withother materials such as rubbers or nanoparticles.
