This project investigates the interplay between climate change and human behavior during the Late Pleistocene in North Africa. By analyzing stone tool industries and environmental data, it aims to clarify how climatic shifts influenced cultural and subsistence practices among early humans.
The relationship between climate and culture is one of the most important areas of debate in the case of the Late Pleistocene, c.60,000-10,000 BP (years ago), when profound and frequently abrupt climatic changes coincided with significant human migrations and shifts in behavioural complexity.
