This project aims to develop innovative lentiviral vectors for HIV vaccines, focusing on their safety and immunogenicity. By evaluating these vectors in non-human primates, the research seeks to enhance protective immune responses against HIV and improve vaccine efficacy.
Innovative vectors and strategies are hardly needed to generate safe and efficacious HIV vaccines.
Many types of recombinant viruses and DNA vectors have been used to induce protective immunity in the macaque model of HIV vaccine.
