The HIPOCRATES project aims to develop self-repairing composite materials for aircraft structures. By enhancing traditional resins with healing agents, the project seeks to improve durability and reduce maintenance costs, ultimately enhancing the safety and longevity of aeronautical components.
A composite aero-structure with self-repair capabilities will offer durability, extend its service life and prolong maintenance protocols leading to lower aircraft operational costs.
