This project proposes a novel augmented reality headset design that integrates display and optical systems into a single lens. This innovation aims to reduce size and weight while improving user experience and accommodating corrective lenses.
The possibility to create an augmented reality vision has been investigated since the 60's.
Most augmented reality systems require the use of a Head Mount Display (HMD) to project a virtual image in the user's eyes.
To date, no HMD featuring good field of view, good resolution and small dimensions has been developed.
