The HiCompost project focuses on developing advanced composting technology to enhance the efficiency of organic waste treatment. It aims to reduce composting times, lower costs, and ensure compliance with quality standards, benefiting waste management companies and laboratories involved in biomaterials testing.
There is a trend towards encouraging biowaste management companies (solid waste and waste water treatment plants) and biowaste producers (shopping centres, food manufacturers, agricultural cooperatives and farms) to invest in composting plants in order to improve the treatment of organic waste.
