HELCATS enhances the understanding of solar wind phenomena through advanced imaging techniques. The project focuses on cataloging and analyzing transient solar wind structures, such as Coronal Mass Ejections, to improve scientific insights and data accessibility in heliospheric research.
The advent of wide-angle imaging of the inner heliosphere has revolutionised the study of the solar wind and, in particular, transient solar wind structures such as Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and Co-rotating Interaction Regions (CIRs).
