This project focuses on enhancing chemical processes through innovative reactor engineering. By utilizing microwave irradiation and microreactors, it aims to improve reaction yields and energy efficiency in important industrial applications, such as carbon monoxide oxidation and ethylene epoxidation.
While heterogeneous catalysis is often considered a mature science, the so-called enabling technologies are often able to produce significant enhancements in the rate of reaction or in the selectivity towards a given product.
