Heart2Beat develops advanced human heart models to better understand cardiovascular diseases. Using innovative microfluidic technology, it creates 3D cardiac organoids that mimic heart function, enabling high-throughput screening for drug discovery and personalized medicine.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the cause of the highest mortality and morbidity rates worldwide and are expected to increase in coming years, leading to epidemic proportions.
