This project develops a method called bunch-compression photolysis to create ultra-short pulses of neutral matter, enabling precise timing in collision experiments. The technique aims to enhance our understanding of collision dynamics at photo-excited surfaces, particularly in 2D semiconductors.
Ultra-short light pulses have become invaluable in time-resolved studies in chemistry and physics.
