The HARMONIC project investigates the health effects of ionising radiation on paediatric patients undergoing various medical procedures. It aims to understand long-term risks and develop guidelines to minimize radiation exposure during treatments.
The increasing use of radiation-associated diagnostic and therapeutic procedures have contributed to the improvements of early diagnosis and survival of paediatric patients.
