This project aims to develop a hybrid quantum system by integrating a single trapped neutral atom with an optomechanical resonator. The goal is to achieve deterministic manipulation of phonons for quantum information processing, enhancing the capabilities of current quantum technologies.
Many quantum information processing tasks were first demonstrated with neutral atoms and ions.
