This project explores the role of translators in shaping cultural exchanges and the ethical decisions they face during the translation process. By analyzing translation archives, it aims to improve understanding of translator strategies and promote diverse translation practices.
After centuries of neglect, the translator is now recognised as a crucial negotiator in the international exchange of ideas.
Accessing reliable versions of foreign texts is absolutely vital for international dialogue and establishing common grounds for the exchange of culture.
