This project develops an eco-friendly multi-layer tank made from RILENE, a resin derived from recycled plastic waste. The tank is designed for full recyclability and aims to reduce CO2 emissions while supporting green businesses in producing sustainable materials.
The proposed innovation is a multi-layer tank in polyethylene with low environmental impact and produced with RILENE, a special resin coming out from the reuse of plastic waste.
The tank can be fully recycled at the end of its life cycle.
The technology used to produce the tank is the blowing in co-extrusion which allows obtaining multi-layer materials with specific technical features that cannot be obtained with the technology commonly used for the single-layer.
