This project investigates the role of women in death-related rituals in ancient and modern Greece. By analyzing both historical and contemporary practices, it aims to reveal insights into gender relations and the influence of women on cultural rituals surrounding death.
To do the project, a training period in Greece is essential, which will also add scientific competencies to my career.
The central theme of the project is women's role in connection with death-cult in ancient and modern Greece.
The research is based on studies in ancient history combined with ethnographic fieldwork in modern Greece.
