This project analyzes the time-variable gravity field to understand global mass changes due to geophysical fluid circulation. It combines data from various space missions to improve the understanding of climate system mass balance.
The circulation of geophysical fluids (atmosphere, oceans, continental hydrology) at the Earth’s surface induces global mass redistribution, and therefore gravity changes, as well as global deformations.
