GlucoSet is a novel glucose monitoring system designed for critically ill patients, utilizing a hydrogel sensor to provide real-time blood glucose measurements. It aims to improve patient safety in intensive care units by reducing the risks associated with insulin administration.
The problem:
Blood glucose levels in critically ill patients require close attention by the physicians and nurses in the intensive care units (ICU) because these patients spontaneously develop hyperglycaemia and increased variability of blood glucose.
