The GLOWASIS project aims to develop a pre-validation service for assessing water scarcity by integrating satellite and in-situ data on water cycles and demand. It focuses on creating an information portal to enhance awareness and provide tools for forecasting water scarcity in Europe and globally.
The main objective of the proposed project GLOWASIS is to pre-validate a GMES Global Service for Water Scarcity Information.
In European and global pilots on the scale of river catchments, it will combine in-situ and satellite derived water cycle information and more government ruled statistical water demand data in order to create an information portal on water scarcity.
This portal will be made interoperable with the WISE-RTD portal.
