This project investigates how glycogen metabolism in astrocytes influences neuronal activity and excitability, particularly under normal and seizure-prone conditions. By studying awake mice, it aims to clarify the role of astrocytic glycogen in maintaining brain ion balance and its implications for epilepsy.
