This project focuses on developing novel probes to inhibit the MDM2 protein, which regulates the p53 tumor suppressor. By linking these probes to fluorescent markers, the research aims to track their effects on glioma stem cells and enhance treatment strategies for brain tumors.
Mouse double minute 2 homolog (MDM2) is a primary antagonist of p53 tumour suppressor, and MDM2 inhibition represents an attractive way to restore p53 function.
