This project investigates the biodiversity of tropical rainforests in West Central Africa, focusing on the Detarieae tribe of legumes. It aims to understand their evolutionary history, assess biodiversity loss, and evaluate conservation strategies under climate change scenarios.
Despite being one of the most biologically diverse habitats on the planet, the description of tropical rain forests and the understanding of their evolutionary history are far from complete.
