The GLASS Project investigates Late Antique glass artifacts from Tell Basta in Egypt, focusing on their production, trade, and recycling. By combining archaeological and chemical methods, it aims to enhance understanding of glass use in historical contexts.
The GLASS Project builds upon excavations at Tell Basta/Bubastis (Egypt) where a large amount of Late Antique glass (appr. 2500 fragments so far, mainly 2nd – 7th cent. AD) has been excavated.
