The Geo-coat project focuses on developing advanced coatings using High Entropy Alloys and Cermets to protect geothermal power plant equipment from corrosion and erosion. By utilizing virtual prototyping, the project aims to enhance the durability and efficiency of geothermal systems while reducing maintenance costs.
The Geo-coat project has been specified as necessary by our geothermal power and equipment manufacturing members, who, in order to reliably provide energy, need to improve plant capability to withstand corrosion, erosion and scaling from geofluids, to maintain the equipment up-time and generation efficiency.
