This project utilizes genomic tools to develop specific biomarkers for assessing the impact of pollutants on aquatic ecosystems. It aims to identify gene and protein responses in various marine species to improve environmental risk assessment.
The use of genomic tools is rapidly increasing in ecotoxicology, and results from transcriptomic and proteomic studies of the effects of environmental pollutants are becoming more and more available.
