This project focuses on recovering and analyzing ancient DNA sequences from E. coli to understand evolutionary biology. By comparing ancient strains with modern genomes, it aims to reveal insights into adaptation mechanisms and the historical prevalence of virulence factors linked to foodborne illnesses.
