This project aims to develop a novel method for tagging proteins in cells to enhance super-resolution microscopy. By integrating genetic code expansion with bio-orthogonal chemistry, it seeks to improve the visualization of specific proteins in various cellular locations.
Super-resolution biological microscopy would benefit from a much smaller alternative to green fluorescent protein and enzyme-mediated labelling methods for imaging specific proteins in cells.
