This project investigates the evolution of mental health care in Scotland, focusing on the transition from institutional to community-based support. It aims to gather and analyze patient experiences to create a 'living archive' that reflects the changing landscape of mental health services.
To ask searching questions about changes in the treatment of people with mental health problems - about the extent to which they experience the right mix of 'protective' and 'empowering' support - is to probe deeply into the 'humanity' of European society.
