This project aims to provide theoretical predictions about gamma-ray emissions from supernova remnants, which are thought to be sources of cosmic rays. It focuses on understanding the clumpy nature of gamma-ray emissions at high energies to support the supernova remnant hypothesis.
Diffusive shock acceleration operating at expanding supernova remnant shells is by far the most popular model for the origin of galactic cosmic rays.
