The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases coordinates international research on preventing and treating chronic diseases like hypertension. This project focuses on collaborative efforts among member countries to enhance research and implement effective health strategies in low and middle-income regions.
The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) brings together leading health research funding agencies of key countries (currently USA, Canada, UK, Australia, China, India and South Africa) to coordinate research activities addressing on a global scale the prevention and treatment of chronic, non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, respiratory diseases, cancer and mental health.
