This project focuses on metabolite profiling to identify biomarkers linked to genetic changes in tumor cells. By analyzing metabolic networks, it aims to enhance molecular imaging techniques for tumor detection and treatment monitoring, while also assessing drug effects on specific targets.
Metabolite profiling, as demonstrated by the host laboratory, has the power to discriminate single gene alterations and to identify metabolite biomarkers that potentially can function as surrogates for the genetic event.
