This project explores the socioeconomic changes during the Greek colonization of the Mediterranean, focusing on archaeological evidence from the Gulf of Taranto. It aims to understand the long-term impacts of colonization on indigenous communities through a multidisciplinary approach.
The transition from protohistory to history (the 9th-8th centuries B.C.) in the Mediterranean set the stage for the creation of the Classical world.
