The FREEFOAM project aims to enhance the safety of polyurethane foam manufacturing by reducing the levels of free isocyanate, a harmful chemical. It utilizes a novel reactive mixture that separates isocyanate and polyol components, minimizing worker exposure and environmental emissions while improving foam quality.
Polyurethane (PUR) is one of the most versatile materials ever created, present in the cars, under the carpets, as packaging material, cushioning material in almost all furniture and bedding.
