FRAMEGLOW focuses on developing a comprehensive theory of fracture mechanics to better predict material strength, particularly in relation to climate change impacts on ice and snow. The project aims to create tools for assessing avalanche risks and improving safety in civil and mechanical engineering.
Fracture mechanics theories are still incomplete, and this limits our current ability to predict the strength of materials, which is particularly important in civil and mechanical engineering.
