The FOX project addresses challenges in managing web data, focusing on dynamic and structured data using markup languages like XML. It aims to develop new algorithms for organizing, transforming, and querying web content, ultimately influencing future web standards.
The web has brought fundamentally new challenges to datamanagement.
The key features that distinguish web data fromtraditional database applications are its structure - usuallydescribed by mark-up languages, such as XML - and its dynamicnature.
