This project investigates the causes and effects of changes in forest ecosystems due to climate change and invasive species. It aims to develop early warning indicators and management strategies to address these changes, enhancing our understanding of forest dynamics and supporting ecosystem service sustainability.
Forest ecosystems around the globe are undergoing rapid reorganization.
The unabated continuation of climate change, the accelerating rate of alien species introductions, and the precipitous loss of biological diversity are altering the structure and composition of forest ecosystems.
As a consequence, novel ecosystems are emerging.
