The LaminarPace project aims to develop a room temperature spray-drying technology for formulating sensitive drugs, enabling the production of stable biologics without the need for extreme temperature storage. This innovation seeks to improve the accessibility of vaccines and therapies in the pharmaceutical industry.
Formulation of sensitive drugs in a stable manner poses problems with currently applied technologies: the substances need to be either heated up to +80 °C or frozen to -80 °C.
