This project explores the use of antimicrobial peptides as potential treatments for antibiotic-resistant infections. It focuses on developing innovative delivery systems using nanotechnology to enhance the stability and effectiveness of these peptides for treating skin, lung, and biofilm-related infections.
Resistance to traditional antibiotics is a rapidly increasing problem that in a few years could make infections impossible to treat and bring the state of medical care back to the pre-antibiotic era from the beginning of the last century.
