FLYWING aims to bridge the gap between microevolution and macroevolution by analyzing wing morphology data from various fly species. This project employs advanced genetic theories to understand evolutionary processes.
The striking mismatch between evolution at short (microevolution) and long (macroevolution) time scales is a major remaining problem in evolutionary biology (the paradox of stasis).
