The project focuses on developing new antiviral compounds targeting the influenza virus's capsid protein, which mutates less frequently than other viral proteins. By combining design and synthesis with advanced image analysis, it aims to create effective treatments that could lead to new drug classes and vaccines.
Objective:
To find and produce novel target compounds against the influenza virus.
Influenza A capsid protein is the target since it does not mutate at the same rate as the Hemagglutinin or Neuraminidase proteins.
We aim to develop new therapeutic antiviral solutions to combat the disease.
