FLUAR is developing augmented reality glasses that integrate near-infrared sensors to enhance tumor detection during surgeries. By providing real-time visualization of tumor margins, these glasses aim to improve surgical accuracy and reduce operation times in cancer treatments.
Fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS) uses near-infrared (NIR) sensors to detect and display fluorescent biomarkers indicating the exact location of tumors.
