The FLOMAS project aims to develop mathematical models to better understand microbial communities in activated sludge used in wastewater treatment. It seeks to improve sustainability in environmental engineering by integrating various scientific disciplines.
The “Floc modelling in activated sludge and beyond” (FLOMAS) is a multidisciplinary proposal that seeks to obtain, through mathematical modelling backed by experimental evidence, a thorough understanding of the microbial community in activated sludge.
