This project aims to model the emission, dispersal, and deposition of microplastics in the atmosphere to assess their environmental impact. By quantifying airborne microplastic contamination, it seeks to enhance understanding of their effects on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
Plastics contaminate the environment at global level and are a major concern for ecosystem safety and human health.
In particular, plastics of smaller size called microplastics (1 m < plastics < 1 mm;
