FLHEA aims to enhance the properties of biodegradable food packaging using natural fibers from hemp and flax. The project seeks to develop improved composites that can meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions in the food industry.
Agriculture is one of the biggest sectors in Europe, representing a gross value added around EUR 148 billion, employing almost 25 million people in the EU-27(2011).
