This project investigates the use of flavonoids as potential cancer treatments. By utilizing a microfluidic platform, it aims to create a stable nanoformulation for oral administration, enhancing the anticancer effects of flavonoids against colorectal cancer.
Colorectal cancer is among the most lethal and prevalent malignancies in the world.
Current treatment has limitations, such as adverse effects, drug resistance, metastasis, and recidivism.
Flavonoids such as Apigenin, Epigallocatechin-3-gallate, and Quercetin have demonstrated anticancer effects and alternatives for new treatments.
Flavonoids can suppress tumor growth, induce apoptosis, inhibit angiogenesis, and modulate cellular signaling pathways in development and progression.
