The project explores the emergence of non-local quasiparticles in quantum many-body systems, focusing on fractionalization in flat band states. Using ultracold atoms, it aims to study correlations in these systems to advance understanding in quantum information and condensed matter physics.
One spectacular phenomenon in quantum many-body systems is the emergence of non-local quasiparticles with fractional quantum numbers and anyonic statistics.
