FISHODOR aims to identify the neural components involved in the detection of a specific fish reproductive pheromone. It will explore the olfactory receptors and their signaling pathways to enhance understanding of fish communication and sensory processing.
The aim of FISHODOR is to establish the identity of neural network components of the recently discovered tilapiareproductive pheromone.
It will identify pheromone olfactory receptor(s) and their intracellular transduction pathways therebyincreasing our understanding of olfactory perception and signal integration of fish pheromones.
