The project FIRE-RES aims to develop innovative strategies for managing extreme wildfire events in Southern Europe. By integrating research, technology, and community engagement, it focuses on preventive measures and resilience-building to address the root causes and impacts of wildfires.
Extreme wildfire events (EWE) are becoming a major environmental, economic and social threat in Southern Europe and increasingly gaining importance elsewhere in Europe.
