Forward Composites is developing a new manufacturing process for fibre reinforced polymer composites that significantly reduces infusion time and material costs. This innovation aims to enhance efficiency in the automotive industry while maintaining high quality and performance standards.
Fibre reinforced polymer composites are used in many markets including industrial mouldings, marine, wind energy and aerospace.
They are produced by embedding load-bearing fibres into a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin matrix.
Depending on the choice of fibre, resin and their physical structure, a wide range of properties can be obtained and in large part this explains their widespread use.
